OWLS

OUR OWLS

Once Written is, first and foremost, a support group for authors and writers. Many of our members are either published or intent on publishing. This page is here to showcase our currently published members.

ANNE STRYKER

Amazon | Wattpad | Author Site

Anne Stryker is a romance author who loves animals and fantasy. Somehow she finds a way to incorporate both into her stories in one way or another more often than not. Adventure, twists, and magic lie within every page of her works, and she invites you to join her on the expeditions--and exploits--of several lifetimes.

LACY SHERIDAN

Amazon Wattpad Author Site

Lacy Sheridan has been telling stories for as long as she can remember and firmly believes that a life without them would be unbearable. She completed her first novel at the age of 12 but never pursued publishing it, and at 17 wrote the original draft of her first published novel, Dreams of Otherworld, as a part of the National Novel Writing Month challenge.

She is currently working towards the massive task of completing and publishing her many fantasy novels, including The Otherworld Trilogy and plenty of standalone works. When not lost in the fantastical recesses of her imagination, Lacy resides in Meridian, Idaho and dedicates her free time to painting, attending conventions dressed as fictional characters, and being a loyal servant to her multitude of pets..

When I stumbled into this group, I had a basic idea of a story to publish and some motivation to keep at it, but I never would have dreamed of coming as far as I have. In a matter of weeks, thanks to the support and people in this group, I published my first novella. Since then, I have been featured in a newspaper. I am participating in a multi-author box set with best sellers. A bookish box will center around one of my books for Fantasy February, and so much more. Yes, I could have gotten where I am on my own, but I doubt it would have happened as quickly, and I know it wouldn't nearly have been quite as fun.

I joined this group right when I was getting out of a really bad bout with my depression and it had wrecked my writing and motivation and made it almost impossible to do anything with my writing career, but because of everyone here, I've undone so much of the damage and published another book and am about to finish my third book since joining. Not to mention my depression hasn't really hit me too bad again since I joined. Everybody here is so nice and inspiring and supportive.

I spent years not being able to write anything, and when I finally found the inspiration again I needed to be kept accountable. Once Written was a group that pushed me to keep writing, dealt with my bouts of doubt, and helped me figure out how writing would work best from me. They're a bunch of weirdos and sometimes make me want to poke them with a stick, but I doubt I would have finished 3 first drafts and one rewrite in the span of a year without them.
